Celebrate Oregon Arbor Month,
Apply for a Booster Grant!
Each year thousands of Oregonians all over the state celebrate trees and their benefits by planning, planting and caring for trees. If all you need is a little suppport to do the same in your community, we are here to help! In 2025, we helped Cottage Grove, Philomath, Reedsport, Sisters and Tangent with grants to help them boost their Arbor Month activities. The grants supported buying and establishing trees for public spaces, tree-related educational materials, and volunteer support supplies.

Oregon is a “tree” state. We have diverse forests and beautiful trees. In fact, Oregon has some of the most productive forests and is home to some of the largest trees in the world. We place a high value on the importance that trees play in our quality of life by providing habitat for wildlife, products that we all use, clean air and water and all of the other wonderful things that trees do. For that reason, Oregonians celebrate April as Oregon Arbor Month. We invite you to celebrate the importance of trees in your community by applying for an Oregon Arbor Month grant. Grants up to $1,000 are available. Applications are due by Jan. 30, 2026 and awarded in March. So think how we might boost your community's tree-related activities next April. These are grants require no match and are available to any Oregon Tree City USA community to “boost” their Arbor Month celebrations (cities receiving grants the prior year are ineligible the following year).
In 2025 Oregon Community Trees gave five grants with a combined total of more than $3,000.
