2019 Annual Urban and Community Forestry Conference

Oregon Community Trees and the Oregon Department of Forestry are pleased to host the 2019 Oregon Urban and Community Forestry Conference. The conference will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon (map). The conference audience includes arborists, city foresters and urban tree managers, urban planners, landscape architects and contractors, tree care professionals, nursery professionals, students, academics, natural resources managers, municipal governments and local forestry leaders from communities across Oregon.

The theme of the 2019 Annual Urban and Community Forestry Conference is:

Also, we have a special location for this year’s pre-conference social! Join us at the gorgeous and historic Wilcox Mansion in the King Hill District for drinks and appetizers. You will have a chance to chat with our speakers in person and meet your Oregon Community Trees Board Directors. Fun times and good food for all! This event is $20 per person and separate Eventbright tickets are available.

Join OCT’s Jim Gersbach who will lead participants through a rapidly urbanizing part of Portland to visualize real tree-infrastructure conflicts. Tour will be held on June 5th from 4:00 -5:30 p.m. starting at Providence Park Stadium corner of SW 18th Ave and SW Morrison St (map).
